Maple Banana Walnut Overnight Oat

One of my favourite recipe that I can prepare the night before and wake up with a dessert breakfast.

SERVINGS : 1-2

INGREDIENTS:

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ⅓ cup plain yogurt
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 – 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 small red apple, chopped

TOPPINGS:

  • 2 tablespoons chopped peanuts
  • 2 teaspoons honey

STEPS:

  1. In a  container(I use those glass contain with a lid from IKEA), mix together the , vanilla extract, yogurt, milk, cinnamon and rolled oats. Stir in the peanut butter and chopped apple.
  2. Cover the container(Put the lid on) and leave in the fridge overnight.
  3. In the morning, stir the oats well. If the oats are too thick, mix in some extra yogurt or milk.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the chopped peanuts and honey. Top the oats with the peanut mixture, and enjoy a delicious healthy breakfast!

Traditional English Scones

SERVINGS : 8

INGREDIENTS:

  • 380g all-purpose flour
  • 100g white sugar
  • 5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 170g cup butter
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 250ml milk (1 cup)
  • 1/2 cup Cranberries (Optional)
    *Customize by adding your favourite dried fruit or nut

STEPS:

  1. Preheat oven to 200 °C. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter. Mix the egg and milk in a small bowl, and stir into flour mixture until moistened.
  3. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead briefly. Roll dough out into a 1/2 inch thick round. Cut into 8, and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
